Can anybody really take on Adobe?

I believe Adobe, which is now using Firefly and generative AI in their products, is going to be the leader in generative AI. They are huge, they have the resources, the community, the brand-name history, etc.

Before AI came to surface, I felt that people were "shifting" away from Adobe, hated their subscription model, and moving to other creative companies like Affinity.

What do you all think?

With any company, there is always room for competition and I do not believe this will be any different for Adobe. It is true that with their subscription model, many were moving away from Adobe and this may be something that reels those back in but with other companies such as Google with Bard and Grok from Elon Musk, they will bring some tough competition.

It's anybody's game at this point.

Other companies will need to implement AI or they will fall behind those that DO implement it.

Adobe may be a big name but I don't believe that no one could go up against Adobe and take them on. Each company will have their ideas and it only takes one idea for someone to prefer that company to another.

Adobe's track record when it comes to the price of their services could be a downfall for them if someone comes in cheaper.

Anybody with a plan and ideas that people want to see could go up against Adobe and come out successful.

Adobe tends to as has been said above, charge quite a bit for their software are services but someone will always find a way to release something similar or the same for a cheaper price or even free. For example, take Photoshop from Adobe and GIMP, many now turn to GIMP because it is free and pretty much does the same as Photoshop in a sense.

There is always room for competition and even taking on companies as big as Adobe.

Abobe has always been a leader in design software, with their software like Photoshop, InDesign, etc. no one has been able to beat them. I believe with their new AI model called Firefly which is integrated across multiple Adobe products, I believe Adobe will continue to run the market.

Agree, Adobe's use of Firefly and generative AI is a game-changer. With their resources and community, they're poised to lead in generative AI. It's intriguing how AI could reshape perceptions and bring users back.

It is possible because there are a lot of online editors for PDF based on AI removal on PDF or even any service related to PDF and due to that people need to compress or convert PDF to image or image to PDF or split PDF, from services like Canvas or similar sites, that let popularity of install Adobe for purpose decreased these years.

Adobe from my point of view has always been a competition company and as much as I feel other companies could take on Adobe, it may be difficult.

One thing with Adobe is how they tend to always charge for their programs or services and I see that being no different at some point.

Others I feel in time will be able to take on Adobe but it is not going to be easy.

Adobe is like Office programs and Windows. It offers a limited PDF area. But if you need to edit more or unlock more features; you have to pay for a license program. Additionally, online editors could replace Adobe features for free just for showing ads.

Adobe already has a strong foothold in the creative industry, so their generative AI will see far more success, than most competitors starting from scratch.

That's a very good point. They already came into the generative AI space with a huge reputation from their other tools being used so widespread for creative purposes, so they'll like be one of the bigger players in generative AI. Could they potential upsurge Midjourney in the near future? Hard to tell because another AI tool may come along and blow both out of the water.

Adobe made a lot of midjourney. They are even announced in their social media platforms or websites. You could take a look.

What Adobe has over others is unlimited access to data of the world's best art makers. Adobe tools are inseperable and they get to know the workflow better than anyone else.
