What if AI successfully detect fake news and rumours in the real world? Share some real world examples where it is already being implementing.

It's a known fact that online fake news spreads much more quickly and more widely than real news. This is why the use of AI program in detecting fake news to remove the news immediately from where it's posted on social media sites is very important. Facebook make use of a similar AI which seeks out fake news and delete them after giving the poster a notice about his content being fake.

I think if someone post a fake news then it should be deleted without giving any notification to posters. There is no need to notify them that their content is fake.

They should be notified if it's on a social media platform. It's how Facebook, Instagram and Twitter's fake news AI filter works. The reason for the notification is for the person not feel like he's losing content without any explanation and also for him not to post such fake contents again.

Yeah, notification is essential for anyone but there must be strict guidelines to prevent these activities like banning or suspending their account if they again involve in such things.

Why do you think it's not necessary to notify them that their content is fake? If they are not notified about it, don't you think they will keep posting the same thing all over the social media site?

I have recently read about the social media platforms using their AI filters to detect the fake news and delete it immediately. I think it is a very good thing to do. With so many social media platforms and an easy access to many across the globe, any video or content can go viral in few minutes. And we have seen fake news and misinformation that has gone viral in recent times and misguided so many.
But I am a bit surprised to see the irony. Many people are using technologies and AI generated deep fake videos and audios to make fake contents. And now we are seeking for the solution in the same technology which actually contributes a lot to the problem in the first place.

While AI detection systems can help in flagging and removing fake news, it's important to remember that they're not foolproof. False positives can occur, leading to the removal of legitimate content. There's also the challenge of adapting to evolving tactics used by those spreading misinformation. Human oversight and critical thinking remain essential in this ongoing battle against fake news.

AI was always going to be a double edge sword just like any other tool. For instance, social media gets a lot of bad press but it's useful for growing your business and making connections with different demographics globally.

There is not Facebook only. The news are on online websites that get information from Facebook means doesn't seems to solve fully the problem.
