Will AI phase out?

AI at the moment has grown momentum over the last few months and we have seen it progress and big levels. The thought of AI ever phasing out is not something I would expect to see too soon but, is there a possibility it may one day or is it here to stay?

AI will not phase out, I believe AI will continue to improve in the future. That's because developers have understood how AO tools are getting popular among people and what AI tools can actually do for human beings.

AI is cheaper for employers is my guess. Given that situation, they will prefer AI over workers and it makes no difference if it's a nation where the cost of living is low or high. Do you all think AI is more expensive to be setup and maintained?

AI won't be phased-out anytime soon. If anything, it'll be the thing that phases out a lot of current standards in terms of labor. We're already seeing AI starting to get a foothold in certain sectors like customer service as it's far cheaper to use AI than to hire a human worker, and as AI develops, they'll become far more efficient than humans.

Naah, AI will never phase or fade out. As of now, it's the biggest invention know to man. Almost every big company out there is looking at getting the best out of their use of AI to power through their businesses for the better in terms of sales, marketing and profit making. AI have come to stay with us like our shadow.

I do not see AI phasing out any time soon or at all if I am honest. AI is something that is still fairly new at the moment and how much it can do right now is amazing.

Over the years we will see it progress more and become more clever over time. I believe AI is here to stay.

True! The task now at hand is to get AI do so many things which they know its capable of doing, it's just for them to write the program well and have it activated for the job. AI is still a new baby in the cradle. It's still growing and it's going to go on for decades.

Not in my opinion. I say this because AI is pervasive in today's world and is being used by everyone to make their lives easier. AI is present in everything from cars to ATMs to smart phones to security cameras to housebells, and I do not think it will phase out.

What is very consistent about technology is that it keeps upgrading. This is what AI will keep doing for decades to come. It's going to be upgraded to be better and smarter than it is now. There is nothing like phasing out for AI but expansion.

That's actually scary 😃. Do you feel it will expand to self-awareness and then tyranny like on the Terminator films? Why wouldn't it?

I don't see it phasing out in the future. It's the recent development that has just invaded our lives and is the hot topic now. It is the same like smartphones to start with. Slowly it would become quite common and would be a common technology that would be used by everyone, just like smartphones have. The hype and limelight around it will phase out as we will get used to it.
But the technology will keep getting advanced and updated.

If done right I see AI rushing in to help us at the societal and individual level. This is good and positive.

Beyond that perhaps humanity will seek to fully explore its potential. To do this perhaps a planned phase out of tec might be desirable - to know what we are when we are stripped back, to know what we can achieve on our own etc.

I think it unlikely, and not anytime soon. But perhaps it is desirable?

With the implementation of ai on the worldwide level, most of the production and manufacturing companies getting better results within the minimum time but it also effects the employment of people. This does not stop here but it is going to be a threat for the IT sector's employees. If it increases the productivity then on the other hand it will also increase the unployement of those who are not well educated and professionally trained.

Yes, agree. Employment as we know it may end. New methods of wealth distribution will likely be needed. The capitalist system is probably under threat for good or ill.

If we don't shape the future in the way we desire I think what emerges could be quite ugly. And who are we without work - if everything work-related is automated?

Artificial Intelligence haven't even been used very well, in fact, we haven't explored up to 50% of AI capabilities for any kind of talk to be held about the technology phasing out. AI is likely the future that we are looking forward and catching up to.
