It is actually as a result of this kind of system failures that artificial intelligence program might have that is making me to reduce the level of dependency I am having on such computer programs. This is because it might result in a very technical problem that will render my job useless and it's most likely going to cost me a lot of money. When an AI system screws up and causes a major loses/damage, what protocols are in place to hold the company in charge of that AI system accountable?
I think if ai is being used in the major sectors like health care, medicines, manufacturing, etc. then there should be a team of experts which must monitor the entire outcomes and make changes to it.It depends on what the AI program was designated to do that's going to determine what the consequences of its system failure is going to be like. If it's for minor project tasks like writing and studying, it's only going to provide wrong information. But if its something like in the health sector, it may result to causing death.
The company behind the development and coding is any AI program will be the one's charged with the responsibility of making sure they are performing the way they're expected to. They're the ones to run checks to know where an upgrade is needed when it's needed for them to do it.I think if ai is being used in the major sectors like health care, medicines, manufacturing, etc. then there should be a team of experts which must monitor the entire outcomes and make changes to it.
That's a great question. When it comes to accountability for AI systems, there are several protocols in place, but they vary depending on the jurisdiction and the specific circumstances. Generally, companies are held accountable through legal frameworks, such as product liability laws, which usually holds them responsible for any damages caused by their AI systems. However, AI ethics and accountability laws are still evolving, and there's ongoing discussion about appropriate regulations regarding accountability for AI-related incidents. When an AI system screws up and causes a major loses/damage, what protocols are in place to hold the company in charge of that AI system accountable?
Your response sheds light on the complexity of holding companies accountable for AI-related incidents. I'm curious. Do you think there's a need for more proactive measures beyond legal frameworks to ensure responsible AI development and deployment? That's a great question. In my opinion, proactive measures such as incorporating ethical principles into AI design, promoting transparency, and encouraging responsible research practices can help fill the gaps and ensure that AI development remains as ethical as possible.Do you think there's a need for more proactive measures beyond legal frameworks to ensure responsible AI development and deployment?
This is actually the stage which AI companies are working very hard now to develop and install in all their AI programs because this is a feature that's going to make AI programs work like a machine and also a human being but without the flaw of human beings. In my opinion, proactive measures such as incorporating ethical principles into AI design, promoting transparency, and encouraging responsible research practices can help fill the gaps and ensure that AI development remains as ethical as possible.
