Thoughts on Pursuing AI Skills Post Europe's Open Source AI Ban?

I'm concerned about how this regulation might affect AI opportunities here. I have various learning options, but it could seriously impact my ability to work on projects or develop models, especially with the limitations on open-source AI tools. What's your take on this?

I feel you mate. The new regulations do throw a curveball into the AI game. Limitations on open-source tools can be a headache. It's like they're putting shackles on innovation. Gotta figure out how to navigate this maze now.

I am not aware of Europe's ban on Open source AI. If they have actually banned Open Source, they are trying to restrict general people from making use of AI tools for their everyday work. If Open Sorce AI are banned, you still have access to premium AI tools, right? YOu can still use these tools to improve your workflow.

Honestly, it's a very big challenge to deal with at the moment because of how the restrictions is affecting how someone in Europe can work with those Open source AI. All I can say is to give it time, these bans will definitely be lifted one day when it's very obvious trying to stampede AI will not be of any good to the country doing it.

It's very unfortunate some countries makes laws that doesn't help them generally or positively either. A lot of people will be stopped permanently from working on some of their projects. If nothing is done about this sooner than later, some parts of Europe will lag back in development for it.

I agree, mate. This is such a stupid ruling, as that will only hinder AI progress in the European region. A lot of the advances in technology we've had in the past 30 years came from open-source projects, so that's just stupidity on the EU's part.

Do you remember the time when Brexit was the talk of town? This same thing which European countries are doing with cutting off the use of open source AI from their citizens is a bad decision. EU can be very funny with some of the crazy decision they take.

The EU is probably thinking they are doing their country a favor but in reality, they are not because they are being left behind with so much to catch up on. It's like when some countries are too reluctant to adopt the use of cryptocurrency while others did. They eventually adopted it later but others have given them wide gap. This is seen with how Bitcoin ATMs is made available in countries all over the world.

This is why I don't like European countries so much. Their government is something else. I'm not saying the one's in USA are angels but UK's own are too much work. They bicker and pick on almost everything especially when it's going to favor the people more than the government.

Considering the recent ban on open-source AI in Europe, pursuing AI skills could become more valuable in the future. With restrictions on freely available AI resources, individuals with in-depth knowledge and expertise in AI could find themselves in high demand. Investing in AI skills now could potentially open up new opportunities in industries where AI applications are vital.

It should not be done and if the regulations have already changed the the authorities must take it back. Open source ai ban will leave a bad impact on the public.

I do not think it is a good decision taken by the federal government. Ai helps in the progression of technology and delivers fast results.
