Talk to anyone of the past through A.I?

I've been contemplating the concept of developing a personalized GPT system that could simulate conversations with historical figures. This system would be designed to utilize known information about these individuals, their experiences, and their ideas to create responses that align closely with what we might expect from them if they were present today. I'm curious to hear thoughts on this idea. Thank you

This is quite interesting and I would imagine it is possible with the right data being inputted but I can't help but feel that many would like the ability to speak with someone from the past in which they actually interacted back.

We know this is possible with certain devices but I wonder if that would be possible with AI?

We already have humanoid robots. I do not think it would be impossible to create a robot, give it the persona of some historical character, and program it with the characteristics of this historical person.

If you have the skill and knowledge to program your AI personalized GPT system to have an identity of someone from the past, it means that every data about the entity you're trying to create will be fed to the system because that's the only way it can be able to simulate discussion with another person.

It's not possible to take to anyone in the past with the use of technology. This is just fantasy as far as I'm concerned. It can never be done unless AI is capable of helping to build time machine or something which can open a portal to past.

It doesn't mean that you're speaking to someone from the past. You're only in communication with the data built in with the AI program. The AI program won't communicate information that's not inputed in it.

This is not about having a dream but working with something that is actually achievable. How these AI program works is already know, does any of its mode of operation support being able to speck with let say Genghis Khan of the Mongol Empire who ruled during 1206–1227.
