True. And there is a difference between Fake and Helpful. I guess Google said that provided that the content is helpful to the reader, they don't have a problem with that. Fake news will not be helpful. But you can as well generate helpful content using AI.

Are fake news worth anything to the people? I think that the answer is NO. Although, I'm very aware such news spreads like wild fire but in the end, when it's exposed to be fake, all the traffic it carried will fade away. It's not ethical to do anything with fake news generation.

I am completely agree that fake news can never be authentic and it leaves a wrong impact on the human mind. It becomes more dangerous when the fake news is related to social issues and political that can trigger imbalance in the society.

Even though that spreading fake news is a criminal offence in such countries, does it stop fake news from being spread in the country? The answer is NO! This is why technology is needed to use and stop this act. Once the fake news are detected, they're going to removed immediately.

Unfortunately, even though fake news are bad, media companies makes millions of dollars from having them published. Now, with the use of AI, it even makes it so much easier for them to use just use targeted prompts to generate a heavy fake news that's going to pull a lot of traffic to their site.
