It feels like a lot of AI adoption stories in finance focus on chatbots or flashy dashboards, but the actual traction seems to be happening in much less visible workflows. Financial spreading is one of those areas where AI quietly removes a lot of manual effort without changing the front-end experience much.
We’ve seen teams adopt tools like Collatio Financial Spreading software simply because they were tired of manual data entry and inconsistent statement normalization. The AI angle is almost secondary. What matters is that spreads are more consistent and turnaround times are shorter.
Curious how others see this trend:

Curious how others see this trend:
- Are you seeing real adoption of AI in less visible finance workflows like financial spreading?
- Do you think these back-office wins are where AI will actually scale first?
- Which other finance workflows do you think are next in line?
