Is AI the next step in human evolution?

Humans have always evolved, but with AI, are we outsourcing evolution?

Could integrating AI into our biology be the next stage of human evolution, leading to a new species? What are the ethical and societal implications of such a merger?

Of course. For a subgroup of people, the answer is unquestionably yes. We are at a turning point in human history when we have to choose between moving toward a future in which people truly transform into machines or toward a world in which humans and robots work together seamlessly.

Evolution means you improve. How does the development of AI improve human capability? Are humans actually evolving by using AI? Well, I don't think so. AI is just a technology that human beings have created. It shows human intelligence, and it is not related to the evolutionary process.

Yes, I believe AI is the next step to human evolution. It's a technology which is capable of pushing humans to explore things they would never dare to. How machines are used today can never be compared to how they were used 30 years ago. AI will take the human race to the next level.

I don't think so. AI is a human-made robot that is programmed to do so many things.
It won't improve human evolution much at all.

Not really. Human evolution is more natural occurrence that can only be enforced by nature. AI is more of a technological evolution, if anything, and we'll continue to see it evolve. If it becomes intelligent enough, it'd probably deem most humans as inefficient and actively try to replace us.

If you think that AI ain't the next step to human evolution, you need to rethink it bearing in mind how humans depend on technology for almost everything they do today. Can the human existence survive without technology as it stands now?

It's true human beings are the one's who invented AI but with how things are going so far, it's best clear at one point, human beings will have the option to either embrace a new world of human/machine collaboration or the possibility of human beings transforming into machines. Between these two steps of human evolution, one of them is going to happen.

AI is a new thing, and look how many things it can do. Some people are scared that it will take away their jobs. I think that they might even be able to implement it as robots, but who knows how far AI can go? I mean, it can do bad too, and it mostly does bad since humans are getting less creative and more lazy

Some people are not just thinking that AI will take away their jobs, they already know AI is well built to take their jobs if the companies where they're working employ/adopt the use of AI for such jobs.

AI is at best a tech evolution and doesn't come anywhere close to being a human evolution. For all it's usefulness, it doesn't add jack to the natural capacity and ability of every human. Take it from me, 50 years from today, it is only the tech savvy thay would benefit from AI and not the entire human race. That's not an evolution.
