Has anyone tried out ChatGPT 3.5 for summarizing?

Thinking of using ChatGPT for study summaries compared to Quillbot? Any experiences? Worried about potential hallucinations with prompts like 'summarize this lesson, focus on the key parts. Quilbot free seems to be very shallow for me.

I use ChatGPT to summarize articles or news and it gives me strong or major points. Then I use it as a script in my Short videos. But be advised that while ChatGPT can be helpful in summarizing content, its level of accuracy may vary over time and it might not always catch minor details.

I use ChatGPT 3.5 and I use it for various purposes including creating a summary. I feed the text into ChatGPT and ask it to create a summary, paraphrase, keynotes, etc. I even instruct what kind of summary, keynotes, or paraphrase I am looking for, I will suggest language and tone for summary generation as well.

Nice approach! How about exploring the ethical implications of using AI, like ChatGPT, for content generation? Is there a line you think shouldn't be crossed, or do you believe it's fair game as long as it serves the purpose?

I have used ChatGPT a few times to help me summarize an article that I can use to put into my own words and that has helped me a great deal when it can sometimes be a struggle on the best way to put something yourself.

I have yet to use ChatGPT 3.5 for other methods but hope to soon.

I do not think it is appropriate to publish the generated text in its entirety, however, it is ok to publish the edited text. I believe you should use AI for ideas and outlines and not the entire content. If you did not create the content, how do you justify to make money from the content?

Summarizing articles is something I have used ChatGPT for numerous times in the past. Sometimes it can get draining going through articles to get the important details. Having ChatGPT do that for me makes it so much easier.

I am always using ChatGPT to summarize articles. There is nothing worse than having to sit through a long article to get the important points of the article.

ChatGPT summarizes the article so quickly and does it in such a way, that you can just go for it once you have the important details.

Same here. I find myself doing this a lot, especially when the article contains a lot of fluff. I've found that in recent years, a number of companies have started to put out articles with very little useful information, with the majority of its content pure fluff.

You can use ChatGPT 3.5 for your summary works or study. It's very good for that kind of job. The most important thing is to make sure that you're using the right prompts in order to get the book or articles summarised wihh6 detailed key points in a way it's going to be very helpful.

Yes, I've used ChatGPT 3.5 for summarizing and found it incredibly helpful. It can quickly distill large amounts of text into concise summaries, saving me lots of time.

I think QuillBot has it's own unique strength which is in providing language correction assistance to a write up. It's strong points isn't really with tasks like summarizing. Language models like ChatGPT can do better in such tasks.
