I’ve been developing a virtual tour platform called Simple Virtual Tour for several years, and recently I’ve been experimenting more with AI.
One of the features I’ve been working on uses AI to analyze multiple 360° panoramas and determine how the different rooms or scenes are connected. The goal is to automate part of the process that normally requires manually creating links between panoramas.
I’ve also been experimenting with AI image editing specifically for equirectangular 360° images, which brings some interesting challenges compared with normal images.
There’s still a lot I’d like to explore in this area.
Has anyone here worked with AI analysis or image generation involving 360° or equirectangular images? I’d be interested to hear about your experience.
