The push for AI to make its way to smartphones is gaining further traction in China with Baidu bringing it's AI model to Lenovo phones. For most of you that aren't aware, Google Gemini and ChatGPT are unavailable in China so this deal makes a lot of sense. What are your thoughts on this development? Also you can read more about it here.

I'd say that it's a win for the Chinese AI sector as this will push AI adoption making it widely available. Baidu would also have a strong foothold in the Chinese AI market as competitors like Google, ChatGPT and others aren't available there.

This is a big coup for Baidu because they'll have a huge presence in the tech industry going forward, as Lenovo's biggest market is actually China.

I think these Lenovo phones are not made for the Chinese markets because the government controls the kinds of information it citizens have access to. The Chinese people are really missing out on the usefulness of language models because of the strict control of accessible information by their governments.

China does not allow it's people to use any other applications, social media, search engine which are not developed in the nation. It's would be a great move but the government should provide more accessibility to the other internet resources.
