AI as your hairstylist?

We are all always on the look out for new hairstyles when we get bored of our current style. I often wonder if AI could be used to give us ideas based on what we ask for in terms of hairstyles.

Would you trust AI to choose a hairstyle for you?

AI is still not advanced enough to handle jobs like hair styling. Though AI is being used in the beauty business for things like tailored product suggestions and virtual try-on tools, human experience is still needed for the creative and hands-on components of hairstyling. But since technology never stops developing, it's feasible that in the future AI may contribute significantly to advancements in hairstyling.

I have not used any AI tools to design my hairstyle, however, I am aware of the existence of AI tools that will design your hairstyle to match your face size, shape, complexity, etc. I also hear that there are hair salons where the baber uses AI tools to help choose customers' hair styles.

Yes of course, I can easily trust an AI to choose my hair style for me. It's not like the AI would be the one that's going to make the hair style. AI will have more access to billions of different hair styles which will make it give a better recommendation more than I can choose for myself.

I have my haircut, so I wouldn't be need AI help to choose any kind of hairstyle. Maybe it's possible for me to use AI programs and choose good haircut styles. I haven't thought of this before now, I'm going to check it out when next I need to have my haircut.

I think that AI is very smart at the moment, but not that smart yet. It's easy to see that for haircuts you like, Pinterest is a good place to search, or perhaps TikTok. AI can do a lot of things, like generate, imagine, or even create videos. I believe that in the upcoming years, AI will reach every possibility. It will be able to create presentations and programming

AI can generate more hairstyle results which you can't see easily on your own looking through social media sites like the one's you've mentioned. AI will pull results from different sources and come up with a creative endpoint result.

I think if you can give Bard a query that it can understand, it can suggest a hairstyle for you. I believe Bard could even help a stylist generate a brand new hairstyle if the user can visualize and query it accordingly. That's how powerful AI can be.

As personal advice, AI bot cannot replace a man or a woman as hairstylists for the following reasons:
1 - Human recommendation: you could go to a hairstylist and have a plan in your brain that is not something reasonable or goes to your style, so both may apply this thing directly that is out of fashion while a human can convince you with something else going with your style
2 - Marge of error: The AI could wrongly do the style if they are not well configured and there are particularities to each hair or even a new look that could be catastrophic unlike professional.

There is no kind of learning that would make an AI bot to understand hair texture and adapt handling to fit that hair texture. It doesn't look like we would have an AI BOT that would be able to handle such kinds of tasks just yet.

I am always questioning myself on the next hairstyle that would be ideal for me and one that would suit me and I would be happy with for a while.

I had never thought about using AI to give me hairstyle ideas but I can see how many would benefit should that be an option.

It's not about the AI program making their hair on someone, no that's not it. It's using the AI program to generate possible hairstyles someone can ask a professional hair stylist to do for them. There's a big difference between the two things.

Absolutely, I'd be open to AI suggesting hairstyles. It could analyze face shape, preferences, and trends to recommend something fresh. As long as it understands my style vibe and doesn't go too experimental, I'm game. Has anyone actually tried an AI-recommended style here?

Ai would need a lot more training and testing before I'd trust it with suggesting hairstyles for me. Current Ai technology is lacking especially in understanding and performing anything past the most basic functions.

What other more kind of training do you think an AI need to do before the program can give you suggestions on the type of hairstyle to do? AI already have access to the information pool of billion information on hairstyle which can make it provide adequate results.

There is a big difference between a person and your hairstyle, you could plan to do some makeover and then this person could interact with you to convince you that this makeover is not suitable to your case, or even if you are not convinced, do the nearest makeover to your thinking but how works with your case. A robot will apply a makeover without discussing you even not suitable for your case.

Using any AI program that's not fully trained is wasting your time. There's no way it's going give you better results for what you need to work with. It will have limited access to data online to use and generate good hairstyles for you to choose.
