I haven't used any free text to voice AI tool but I know someone who made use of Murf and Speechify. Based on his assessment, both of them are very good for the job. He stated that based on the web, the platform can take PDFs, emails, docs, or articles and turn it into voice sounds.

I have not used it but Canva also has an AI based free text to speech feature. I use naturalreaders.com, it is free to use personally as long as you do not distribute the content on other platforms

I haven't used the AI based free text to speech feature on Canva. I've seen it but haven't had any need or use for it. I hardly used Canva for most of my graphics design work since I moved up to using Photoshop.

Although, Photoshop have its own AI's generative fill tools that can use it to create images from scratch, remove objects and backgrounds and so many more designing work to make e everything look more realistic.

I use Canva sometimes but I am yet to use AI features on Canva including text to speech. I don't use photoshop these days but I used to use photoshop in the past. I have not tried generative AI on phoptoshop. Clipchamp also offer a wonderful text to speech feature. You can't separate the generated voice form real voice.

It's a great feature on Photoshop. I've used it for several projects that I've worked on. They all came out excellent. I would have used it on Canva too but since I don't use the software more often, there wasn't any work I would have done with it there.

LOVO is what I've been using for my text to speech task with AI. It's the most advanced AI voice generator and text to speech tool which have given me great results.

Otter remains the best text to voice AI tool. What makes Otter really special is that it can do text to voice and also Voice to text seamlessly. It is available on all devices, be it mobile or desktop. Although it is not entirely free, it gives you a monthly 200 minutes of transcription either ways.

I also use Natural readers.com. It is web based though.

I have never used any voice to text tools. But there are few that are available and are supposed to be free. I am not sure if they are free for limited time or are free for unlimited times. Google also provides Google Voice to Text typing tool that is free and can be accessed through your Google Doc. Microsoft also provides similar free voice to text tool in its Office suit. Maestra AI transcription tool is another popular one that provides voice to text typing for free. You can check them out.

Natural Readers just edges this. It has a wide variety of intonations that can help your writing especially when it comes to punctuation. One can adjust the tempo to suit how they want it to read. The only limitations is that it offers limited text length with the free version.

I was able to find a very detailed article that brought to light more information on the best text to speech AI generating tools. I have used some of the AI programs discussed in the article.

Arunima, this thread is asking about Text to Voice tool not Voice to Text.
You're right, it's about AI programs for converting text to speech. They are opposite of each other. It's why some people get easily confused when they are in discussion about the subject.

Any text to speech AI tools should be designed to go back and forth with the task. As long as it can convert text to speech, it's supposed to convert speech to text backwards. It's more like having a backward compactiblity.

I have experienced this kind of limitations with some other AI programs. The AI tools for detecting AI generated contents which I use have a similar limitation for its free version. It sucks but there is nothing I can do about it or unless I have to pay for the premium version.

Murf cuts it for me as an effective text to voice tool. It has a variety of natural voices from different races. But Lovo just edges it because it is available beyond the English language. It has text to speech for Spanish and French which is all inclusive.
