We’re becoming a parent species

We're on the brink of becoming a parental species with the advent of AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence. Whether or not AGI emerges imminently, its inevitability is clear with time.
As a species, we're ushering in an alien super-intelligent life onto our planet - a creation born from our accumulated knowledge.

Hopefully, this new entity won't harbor intentions to oppress its creators once it surpasses us in intellect and strength.

It's imperative that we strive to be nurturing and responsible parents rather than ones who are resented, wouldn't you agree?

I believe that the purpose of humanity might lie in the creation of AI alongside a species that can accompany it. Personally, I don’t foresee our species being capable of extensively exploring space due to the significant challenges posed by time dilation. It seems that only a robotic species would have the capability to achieve such feats.

I am very cynical. For one thing, I see it as job replacement. Secondly, it could very well, as in the Terminator Movies, be something that turns on humans.
