There are always chances of human error if a human does it. Machines work according to how it is programmed. Therefore, chances are there that it will make a better judgment. However, there are also chances of data being corrupted or hardware failures, so trusting AI can be risky.
I think it's very dangerous to have AI work in stuff regarding the life and death of people. Already, we have massive ethical arguments when AI isn't even in the picture! Well, isn't that obvious?
