If an AI were to read and analyze classic literature, what new insights or interpretations do you think it might offer?

Would it uncover hidden meanings or offer a completely different perspective on well-known works?

AI can only be able to offer insights or interpretations on what it's been programmed to do. There some inquiry which an AI would be asked, it's going to reply with not having any information on this subject. But when it has been built to analyze classic literature, it will offer insights human being wouldn't be able to scratch the surface.

If AI is asked to read and interpret DH Lawarence's novels or Shakespear's poetry, will it be able to come up with new interpretations that no one has ever done? Well, I do not think so. I believe is based on the fact that AI can only analyze existing data, it cannot come up with new ideas.

Exactly! AI can't do more than what it have been programmed to do. If at any time AI begins to come up with its own new ideas, it sounds good but it's a big security risk because the technology will to secure its survival even if it means wiping off humanity.

While analyzing something, AI will also take reference from something that is popular. For instance, when analyzing Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, will AI talk about how racist Skakespear was with Shylock? I really doubt it because this point of view is non-existent online.

Yes, it's unless the information or something similar have been fed to the program, then it's going to have more data to process when analyzing before it can come up with something creative on its own.

AI works according to the data fed into its system, therefore, we should not expect AI to generate something that is entirely new and original. However, it can of course come up with creative ideas based on the data analysis.

I believe that AI companies are very careful with how and what they program their AI tech software to be capable of doing. They can program it to be self thought but they are afraid of the dangers it will pose without being able to control it.
