Generative AI for Education

Hello. I would like to share some education-related project ideas with the community.

AI can be of use for generating interactive 2D and 3D illustrations and animations for homework, quiz, and exam items, including AI-generated or -personalized items.

Items from algebra or physics courses, for instance, often describe imaginative scenarios, situations, or stories and learners encountering these items could be benefitted by AI-generated illustrations or animations.

Which useful features could AI-generated interactive illustrations and animations for educational items provide for learners?

Interactive illustrations and animations could allow certain elements in them (e.g., characters, props, vectors, labels, etc.) to be selected and visually highlighted by both learners and intelligent tutoring systems.

That is, certain elements in items’ interactive 2D or 3D illustrations or animations could be selected and visually highlighted when:
  1. learners perform input gestures over or upon corresponding content in items’ descriptions,
  2. intelligent tutoring systems read items’ descriptions to learners,
  3. intelligent tutoring systems invoke a function from the APIs of items or of their accompanying illustrations or animations.
Thank you. Any thoughts on these ideas?

AI can greatly improve education by creating interactive 2D and 3D visuals for homework, quizzes, and exams. These visuals can make complex subjects like algebra and physics easier to understand. By allowing students to interact with elements, such as highlighting parts of a problem, learning becomes more engaging and personalized. Intelligent tutoring systems can use these visuals to provide real-time explanations, making the learning experience even better.

I think AI in education would make things more personalized for each studfent and be quite effective short term However i also feel that if you use AI as teacher then students won't respect it as much as a real teacher, will us ai to cheat (they already do), and generally become dumber BUt also smarter. They need that physical interaction and textile feel to get certain information to really stick. It could be done right but I already know most people today are dumber than ppl who grewup a generation ago, and the same for the previous gen before them. Something about the education system and life outside it has done this, adding one more factor into it could help or it could break people's general intelligence imo.
