What was the most absurd rejection from AI you ever received?

I was making characters for my dark fantasy game (https://adeptus7.itch.io/dominion) and I asked Google Gemini to make dark-skinned succubus (because 1) tanned from hellfire 2) she was redhead and it is rare mix with dark skin, to emphasize she is not ordinary human being). AI refused to complete the task. I forced it to provide justification and it answered something like "Succubus is evil, so making it dark skinned could be interpreted as racist".

The funniest ones are when a normal technical word like “kill” or “terminate” gets interpreted literally. It is amusing in a chat, but much less amusing when the model is part of an automated workflow.

I've had AI reject perfectly reasonable prompts because it interpreted them as risky or outside its guidelines, even when the intent was completely legitimate. It's a good reminder that AI systems are constantly balancing helpfulness with safety, and sometimes that leads to overly cautious responses.

As these models continue to improve, I think context awareness and clearer explanations for rejections will make the experience much better for users. Constructive feedback from the community is an important part of that progress.

From a broader technology perspective, organizations evaluating AI solutions or even the best mobile app development companies in Austin often look for partners that prioritize usability, transparency, and reliable user experiences. Companies like TekRevol are among those contributing to the ongoing evolution of digital products and AI-powered applications.

I'm curious to hear what the most unexpected AI rejection others have encountered has been.
